Butterflies

Patricia Grace is a Maori author from New Zealand. The Maori are the original inhabitants of New Zealand. In her stories Grace reveals Maori consciousness and values in the midst of a settler society in which they have become a minority. Differences between the two groups can lead to misunderstandings.
